ADA - Cardano currency

Cardano (ADA) is a decentralized cryptocurrency that operates on a blockchain platform designed to provide a more secure and scalable infrastructure for decentralized applications (dApps) and smart contracts. It was founded by Charles Hoskinson, one of the co-founders of Ethereum, and launched in 2017. Unlike traditional fiat currencies, Cardano is not controlled by any central bank or government; instead, it relies on a proof-of-stake (PoS) consensus mechanism called Ouroboros. ADA is primarily used for transactions within the Cardano network and as an investment asset in the cryptocurrency market. The currency aims to offer a more energy-efficient and sustainable alternative to proof-of-work (PoW) cryptocurrencies like Bitcoin.
