The Jersey Pound (JEP) is the official currency of Jersey, a British Crown Dependency located in the Channel Islands. While the Jersey Pound is issued by the Government of Jersey, it is pegged to the British Pound Sterling (GBP) at a 1:1 ratio. British Pounds are also accepted in Jersey, but Jersey banknotes and coins are not widely accepted in the UK. The Jersey economy is centered around financial services, agriculture, and tourism. Despite being separate from the UK, the stability of the Jersey Pound is ensured through its link to GBP, providing economic confidence for businesses and residents.
