Fee charges
amaze transaction fees
Starting from February 20, 2023, a fee of 2% (minimum $0.50 SGD) will be applicable to domestic (SGD) transactions involving GrabPay, prepaid cards and other e-wallet top-ups, when using amaze with your linked bank card. This fee will be extended to amaze wallet transactions starting July 5, 2023.
However, most transactions remain fee-free. There are no fees if your transaction is made in FX.
The transactions subject to the 2% fee include but are not limited to the below:
MCC | Category | Merchant Examples |
6540 | Non-Financial Institutions – Stored Value Card Purchase/Load | GrabPay Wallet, ShopeePay, Revolut, CRO, YouTrip |
6211 | Security Brokers/Dealers | Xmglobal, Plus500, eToro, IG.com |
6051 | Quasi Cash–Merchant | Coinhako, Coinbase, Wirex, Kucoin |
Others | EZ-Link wallet top-ups and TransitLink General Ticketing Machines |
Please note: MCCs are assigned by payment card organisations (e.g. Visa, MasterCard). Instarem does not have a say in the assignment of these codes. A merchant’s registered MCC may not always correspond with its nature of business.
amaze wallet top up fees
A 2% fee is applied when topping up your wallet using Visa cards. Starting July 5, 2023, this fee will be reduced from 2% to 1.5%.
