The CFP Franc (XPF) is the currency used in French overseas territories in the Pacific, including French Polynesia, New Caledonia, and Wallis and Futuna. Issued by the Institut d’émission d’Outre-Mer (IEOM), it was introduced in 1945 to replace the French Franc in these regions. The CFP Franc is pegged to the Euro at a fixed rate (1 EUR = 119.33 XPF), providing economic stability for these territories, which rely on tourism and French financial support.
